While everyone else is wearing pumpkin orange to celebrate Halloween, we think dramatic Gothic purple is the shade to wear this week. Let’s start at the bottom and work our way up…
Purple suede platform pumps with a 130mm stiletto heel and a 20mm platform sole. Christian Louboutin pumps (see the look with the Westwood dress, below).

It’s quite a style change. But Victoria Beckham has swapped her LA-blonde hair for toned-down, glossed-up brunette colour to get her back in the Posh Spice groove.
This means a wardrobe rethink too: hair colour must complement the clothes. We predict VB will swap her candy pinks and Pucci for more rock n roll chic the next time she opens the wardrobe. Just like this…
When Posh went Westwood… plus the signature red sole
Black cotton and silk blend asymmetrical dress with a jagged hemline from Vivienne Westwood, £450. Purple suede platform pumps with a 130mm stiletto heel from Christian Louboutin, £315

She nails the look with this one. Simple understated style but bang-up-to-date chic. The skirt is not too short and the girl mountains are kept under wraps. Much more sophisticated. We like.
We’ve taken her black-and-white look as the fashion inspiration for Friday and pounced on this fabulously girlie polka dot print silk chiffon ruffled mini dress. Better still, there is a MASSIVE 40 PER CENT OFF! Was £350 now £210. Grab it fast, before VB snaps it up.

Swedish artist Liselotte Watkins is a pure fashion genius, we think. Her drawings are drop-dead glam and capture collections spot on.
The designers think so too. Miuccia Prada has hired Liselotte to draw illustrations for prints on her Spring 2008. She’s drawn the illustrations for the Roberto Cavalli collection at H&M, including this one.

Would you just look at HALLE BERRY. The mum-to-be wowed on the red carpet at the London premiere of her latest film, Things We Lost In The Fire.
Bump-covering maternity wear can be tricky but there is no need to compromise on glam. Take this from Topshop…
Big is beautiful. Maternity foil affect dress with black straps designed to fit your bump, £30

Oceans of satin to hug and kiss your curves is a much-in-demand look now. Leona Lewis handles the look in style in recent photographs to promote her new single, Bleeding Love.
You can recreate the look without the floor-length frock. The Vera Wang satin camisole top has us completely impressed.
Gray silk charmeuse camisole top with elasticated waistband and sequin bib, £260.
