Global economic turmoil couldn’t wipe the smile from the face on the frock designed by Dolce & Gabbana at Milan Fashion Week.

We heart Zandra Rhodes much for her outpouring for fashion fabulousness over time. No surprise then that we’ve been over-excited by the latest fashion dinner party art film shot in Ms Rhodes penthouse.

The gloriously good art film is hosted by Natt Weller (son of Paul) and star spots the likes of Zandra, of course, Marios Schwab, musician Bishi and surreal artist Andrew Logan – all looking captivating on camera.

The film, shot by Ben Charles Edwards (remember this name, he’s going to be big, massive) is a fabulous piece of fashion escapism.

We can’t wait to see the next chapter of iconic dinner parties featuring super-special surprise guests. We’ll tell you who and when soon…

Note the absence of bling – she gets it right and doesn’t do diamonds like they were going out of fashion. Keep-it-simple earrings nail the look.

It was gloriously over the top with oversized collar and swoops of fabric flowing over the red carpet, but Heidi Klum pulled it off in a drop-dead red Galliano gown.

Sharp and simple jewellery took the backseat instead of hogging the limelight and was a refreshing change from the hundreds and thousands of diamonds on show at the Oscars (see Nicole Kidman post). Less is best.  

Red alert

It’s a red-carpet look with a difference. Actor Christopher Walken wore a copper-coloured bra and flash wig to collect man-of-the-year award from Hasty Pudding Theatricals at Harvard University. See the juice here.

The Spice Girls have truly endorsed the talents of Christian Louboutin. VB, Geri, Emma especially are often snapped hot-footing on and off planes between concerts with a flash of red sole.
